Hanni Kamaly

Hanni Kamaly. Year and city of birth: 1988, Hamar. Lives and works in: Malmö, Sweden. My artistic practice is research-based exploring subject/object theories and ontology as it relates to borders of existence and boundaries of subjectivity. Recent and ongoing projects focus on dehumanization and representation through the diverse fields of anthropology, pop culture and post-colonialism.
During my residency at Iaspis, I will be developing a project based on dehumanization in which I will be tracing the similarities between object‐thinking and our relationship to “the Other”.
I graduated with an MFA from Malmö Art Academy 2016, and have also studied in Bergen Academy of Arts and the International Art Academy of Palestine.
