Yared Tilahun Cederlund, born January 18, 1989 in Stockholm Sweden, is a dancer, sound / music composer, choreographer and DJ who is active in the Street dance scene and in other rooms for performing arts.

Yared began his dance journey as a 9-year-old and has since been seen on various stages around the world. After studying dances and techniques from the Streetdance vocabulary for many years and exploring several types of dance, Yared’s unique movement language has emerged. In the years 2006 – 2013, he was active in the Battle scene and often appeared at events such as Streetstar (Sweden) and Juste Debout (France). In recent years he has been involved as a dancer in a number of different performances, such as “IDIOM” and “DRONE” by Erik Linghede, “Mental State of Sweden” with Cullberg by Mattias Andersson, “Tillvaron” and “Festen” by Viktor Fröjd, “Kontakt” by Lisa Janbell, […it is contained in…] by Joanna Holewa Chrona & Yared Tilahun Cederlund, Raised On Rhythm by Niki Tsappos.

Through dance and beeing in movment, Yared found connection and a deep interest for music and sound. This connection is the inspiration for his compositions. Working with a broad array of sounds, melodies and rhythms, both acoustic and electronic, Yared creates his sound. It varies from groove based beats to more fluid soundscapes and melodies.
