Juan Pablo Fajardo och Andrés Fresneda är grundarna av La Silueta, ett oberoende förlag och konstnärsdrivet studio/utrymme i Bogotá. Båda är AGI-medlemmar sedan 2017. Med bakgrund i konstpraktik har deras huvudsakliga verksamhet varit relaterad till produktion av innehåll, för tryck och utställningar, publicering och experimenterande med publikationer sedan 1997.

2002 grundade La Silueta ediciones, ett oberoende förlag och experimentell plattform där konstnärsprojekt, forskning om colombiansk visuell kultur och utställningar utvecklas. Det har funnits ett särskilt intresse för forskning om sociala fotografer, grafisk design och relationer till tryckt material och distribution av innehåll. Utställningar och publikationer av La Silueta inkluderar verk av Sergio Trujillo Magnenat, Nereo López, Paul Beer och Jorge Silva, den sista som publicerades tillsammans med Archive of Modern Conflict (AMC UK). Publikationer av La Silueta ingår i specialsamlingar vid universiteten Stanford och Princeton och är en del av konstboksamlingar från Moma och São Paulo Museum of Modern Art.

Iaspis residens kommer att vara en möjlighet att kartlägga svenska konstnärer som producerar experimentella publikationer, förlag, distribution av tryckta verk, utställningslokaler och nätverk av konstböcker som cirkulerar.

Juan Pablo Fajardo and Andrés Fresneda are fouders of La Silueta, an independent publishing house and artist run studio/space in Bogotá. Both are AGI members since 2017. With background in art practice his main activities have been related to production of content, for print and exhibitions, publishing and experimenting with publications since 1997. In 2002 founded La Silueta ediciones, an independent publishing house and experimental platform where artist projects, research on colombian visual culture and exhibitions are developed. There have been special interest in research on social photographers, graphic design and relations to printed material and distribution of content. Exhibitions and publications by La Silueta include the work of Sergio Trujillo Magnenat, Nereo López, Paul Beer, and Jorge Silva, the last one co published with the Archive of Modern Conflict (AMC UK). Publications by La Silueta are included at special collections at Stanford and Princeton Universities and are part of art book collections of Moma and São Paulo Museum of Modern Art.

Iaspis residence will be an opportunity to map Swedish artists producing experimental publications, publishing houses, distribution of printed work, exhibition spaces and networks of art books circulation.
